The Dallas County Foundation is here to help our community’s charitable projects and programs contribute to the quality of life in our area. One of those ways is through grantmaking. The Dallas County Foundation currently has one grantmaking cycle each year.
The Dallas County Foundation accepts grant applications from charitable projects and programs impacting a wide range of needs in the community- arts and culture, health, human services, community betterment, historic preservation, etc.

2019 Grant Cycle Calendar
December 1, 2018: Grant application materials for 2019 will be available on the website.
January 9, 2019, Wednesday: Grant Writing Workshop
11:30 to 1:00 p.m. at the Adel Public Library.
Register Online for the Workshop and Lunch.
Friday, February 1, 2019: Grant submission deadline. Grant applications must be received by 5 p.m. to be considered for the 2019 grant cycle. Grants sent through the mail MUST BE postmarked before February 1, 2019.

February: Grant Committee reviews applications.
February-March: Selected grants presented to the board for approval.
March – April: Grant applicants will be notified of approval or denial.
April – May: Checks will be presented at an Awards Reception.
Grant Workshops: If you want to learn more about the Dallas County Foundation grant process, please plan to attend a grant workshop seminar. We will walk you through the grant application and answer any questions regarding the selection process.
We will have one Grant Writing Workshop on January 9, 2019, from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. at the Adel Public Library at 303 South 10th Street in Adel. There will be lunch. The workshop is free and open to the public. To attend, please RSVP by December 21, 2018.
